Sound Library and Character

The 250 presets draw on drum circles, tablas, sitars, bansuri flutes and vocal performances. Excite Audio says KSHMR recorded the samples with instrumentalists across India and the wider South Asian region, using analog gear and contemporary production techniques.

The library ranges from light percussive tablas and dhols to large Bollywood-style drum circles, with strummed and stringed instruments including sitars, rababs and ouds.

Workflow, Sequencing and Editing

The Main Page offers eight sample banks of 112 percussion samples in total. Fourteen sample keys trigger individual sounds, and five factory modifiers, including half-time, double-time, reverse and octave shifts, change playback. Five custom modifiers let you trigger sequences.

The Edit page provides waveform display, four playback directions, four choke groups, and pitch, formant and pitch warp controls. You can import up to 112 of your own samples, and any imported sample can be swapped at any time.
