Excite Audio describes Bloom Drum Kits as an instrument built from kits played in the room, combining raw, close-miked drums with processed hits. The library covers grooving top loops, detuned toms, characterful snares and one-shots.

Presets are organized into seven categories, from Basic straight beats and Low Energy grooves to Processed beats with distortion and macro-driven movement, Percussion sequences and Top Loops for snare and hi-hat layering. The developer positions the sound for indie, leftfield electronic and experimental production.

The Main Page triggers sounds from 14 sample keys, with white keys for individual sounds and black keys for phrases or properties. Samples can be synced to host BPM, and each sample key can be swapped by dragging a new sample onto it.

The Edit Page offers playback direction, modes and speed, four choke groups, crossfade, attack, release, pitch and formant controls. A sequencer handles sample triggering and modulation, and three rearrangeable effects (Dynamics, Delay and Reverb) are available with Plate, Hall and Spring reverb modes.
