Excite Audio says the instrument combines raw, close-miked drums with tape-worn, processed hits. It includes 8 sample banks containing 112 samples, plus 14 sample keys for triggering individual sounds.

The 250 presets are organised into seven categories: Basic, Experimental, Kits, High Energy, Low Energy, Percussion, Processed and Top Loops. This range covers straightforward beats, offbeat sound-design patches, heavily treated rhythms and snare and hi-hat loops for layering.

The Main Page lets you trigger individual sounds from the white keys and launch phrases or tweak properties from the black keys. Four macros labelled Tape, Re-Amp, Room and Phaser shape the sound, and five main FX parameters cover Dynamics, Delay, Reverb, Lo-Cut and Hi-Cut.

The Edit Page adds sample editing, a sequencer and three rearrangeable effects: Dynamics, Delay and Reverb. Samples can be synced to the host BPM, and you can import up to 112 of your own samples.
