The instrument uses 8 sample banks containing 112 drum phrases. Each bank has 14 sample keys spread across two octaves, so white keys trigger drum samples and loops while black keys handle modifiers such as half-time, double-time, reverse and octave shifts.
The Phrase Player sequences the samples with rate, swing, steps and latch controls, and can modulate saturation, dynamics, noise, filters, pitch and velocity over each pattern.
The Edit page offers sample start and end markers, playback direction and speed, four choke groups, and pitch, formant and envelope controls. Three rearrangeable effects modules cover saturation with tube, tape and fuzz modes, dynamics, and a noise section with 15 noise types.
You can import up to 112 of your own samples by dragging audio files onto the waveform view or an empty bank slot. Imported samples can be swapped at any time. The bundled samples are royalty-free.
