01Overview

Bloom Bass Impulse Upgrade is for producers who already own Bloom Bass Impulse Lite and want a larger library. The upgrade is built around modern synth bass loops, samples and one-shots, organized into eight banks. Each bank is set up for a different bass type, and the instrument can import your own samples alongside them.

Sample Library and Sound Shaping

The instrument spans 14 sample keys across two octaves. Black keys handle playback changes and trigger sequences and effect modulation. Four macro controls, Sub-EQ, Noise, Crush and Width, adjust tone quickly, and five main FX parameters cover Saturation, Reverb, Filter, Lo-Cut and Hi-Cut.

The Edit page gives access to sample start and end points, trigger types, playback direction, speed, pitch, formant settings, and envelope attack and release. Choke groups are available for bass interactions within a patch.

Sequencing, Import and Workflow

The Phrase Player triggers and draws sample sequences and modulation. It includes Rate, Latching and Swing controls. Samples are synced to host BPM, and Sample Randomise swaps samples to find new combinations.

You can import up to 112 of your own samples by dragging audio files into the waveform view or an empty bank slot. Imported samples can be swapped at any time, and you set their key and BPM so they fit the engine. A Global Bypass is included.
