Retro Anime Synths, Pads and Sound Effects

The instrument side of Blazer covers 53 retro synths and cosmo pads, which Soundiron describes as drawing on mecha battle hymns and space opera anthems of the period. Each pad is playable across the keyboard and is meant to suit classic anime-style themes.

The sound effects side is broader. Soundiron notes that the library includes hundreds of effects recorded in both low and high fidelity. High-fidelity sounds are cleaner and sharper, while the lo-fi material is intentionally degraded for a grittier texture. Categories include energy particles, laser blade shwings, magical and electric swooshes, and engine and fly-by sounds for vehicles such as starships and mechs.

Controls, Modulation and Workflow in Kontakt

Blazer ships with a Kontakt interface that includes a mixer and a full FX rack. The FX rack features convolution reverb with custom rooms, halls, chambers and FX environments.

Each instrument offers an LFO with selectable shape, target parameter, speed, intensity, tempo sync and fade-in time. A set of 12 low-pass, high-pass and FX filters can be assigned to modulation sources such as velocity, mod wheel, expression, aftertouch, key position and step-sequencer table control. The arpeggiator adds a velocity table and control over direction, timing, swing, randomization and duration. A key and scale lock keeps notes within chosen scales for melodic playing.
