Waves Tune LT is built for quick pitch correction. Its controls cover how fast the pitch is corrected, how long note transitions last and how strongly the correction is applied. Waves says it can also be used on guitar, sax and other single-note melody lines within the vocal range. A graphic display shows the amount of correction in real time, so you can see what the plugin is doing as you adjust it.

Pitch correction controls and special effects

Tune LT keeps the workflow short. You set how fast the correction happens, the length of note transitions and the correction strength. Lower the strength to keep the natural expression of a take, or push the controls to extremes for the hard, stepped correction that is often associated with the T-Pain sound.

The plugin can also create deliberate effects, such as octave drops. Its scale features let you conform notes to 43 traditional and ethnic scales, or customize a scale by marking notes as legal or illegal.

Formats, system requirements and host support

Tune LT is available in VST2, AU and AAX formats. On Mac it runs on macOS Monterey 12, Ventura 13, Sonoma 14 and Sequoia 15. On PC it runs on Windows 10 and later. It supports ReWire for transport control within the plugin, which is useful in hosts that rely on ReWire for synchronization.
