Sound Shaping and Harmony Workflows
Waves Harmony offers three workflows, so it can fit different stages of production. Automatic mode uses chord presets to generate harmonies instantly, which suits songwriters and producers who want quick results. MIDI mode lets you play harmonies live on a keyboard as you sing, which is useful for performing on stage or for capturing a harmony take in real time. Graphic mode gives you direct control over the harmony lines, letting you draw them and adjust each voice.
Each voice has its own controls for pitch, formant, panning, delay, filtering and modulation. Pitch and formant settings change the character of the harmony, while panning and delay help place voices in the stereo field and build width around a lead vocal.
