eMo Q4 Equalizer is a 4-band paragraphic EQ plugin by Waves, available in VST2, AU and AAX formats. It can run standalone as a plugin or inside the channel strip of the eMotion LV1 live mixer.
Waves designed the eMo Q4 Equalizer for live sound work, where quick adjustments matter. The plugin has four bands, and each band can be set as a parametric, high-shelf or low-shelf filter. The high and low bands add resonant shelf and pass options. You can run it as two independent mono EQs or ganged for stereo, and it works on Windows and macOS.
All parameters sit on one screen, so you can make changes without digging through menus. The interface supports multi-touch, and you can edit a band by dragging on the display, using the on-screen controls, or entering exact numbers.
Each band can be enabled or bypassed individually, which makes it easy to compare a correction with the original signal.
The high band offers a resonant high-frequency shelf or lowpass, and the low band offers a resonant low-frequency shelf or highpass. According to Waves, the low and highpass responses use 12 dB/octave slopes.
The display shows right and left channel responses at the same time, so you can see how each side of a stereo signal is shaped. The EQ can also run as two independent mono filters.
