Drum Level Control in Mixed Music

The plugin takes a mixed music input and lets you raise or lower the drums relative to the rest of the signal. Its DRUM LEVEL and THRESHOLD controls set the main balance. Zynaptiq says boost can reach up to +18 dB, and that the achievable amount depends on the input signal.

On a drum bus, the frequency-dependent DRUM LEVEL control can be drawn with a breakpoint editor in the CURVES view. This lets you shape drum impact without a compressor or transient processor.

Two boost modes are included. SMOOTH targets natural, dry medium boosts and pre-processing for drum extraction. PUNCHY gives a snappier, tighter result. Both modes can also boost the drum reverb, focusing on early reflections in SMOOTH and long tails in PUNCHY.

Sub-Bass Synthesis and Workflow

A sample-accurate sub-bass resynthesizer adds low-frequency energy through the BASS SYNTH slider. The developer states it avoids level instabilities, false triggers and phase cancellation.

The three-level interface keeps only the parameters you need visible. Other tools include M/S processing, a hard-knee output limiter and drum level macro buttons. A set of factory presets is also included.
