Native Instruments says the flexible beatgrids in Traktor Pro 4 follow each tempo change throughout a track. The developer states that this avoids the audio quality impact it associates with sync in other DJ systems.
The beatgrids support looping, beat jumps, beat effect layering and beat alignment. They are meant for mixing across genres or tracks with a changing tempo.
Traktor Pro 4 includes more than 40 Native Instruments effects, which can be chained across four assignable Deck FX slots. Mixer FX allow quick effect layering.
The stem separation feature uses AI and iZotope RX technology to isolate drums, bass, instruments and vocals. Each stem appears as its own waveform, so filters and effects can be applied to individual parts. Pattern Player adds drum patterns from classic drum machines and signature sounds from producers.
Traktor Pro 4 supports plug-and-play use with club-standard mixers, turntables and CDJs, and Traktor Timecode Control Vinyl (DVS) is available for vinyl-style control of digital tracks. MIDI clock and Ableton Link support hybrid setups, and deep MIDI mapping covers many compatible controllers.
Smart Playlists and folders help organize the library. Supported audio formats include MP3, WAV, AIFF, Audio CD, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis and non-DRM AAC.
