New Tools for Mixing and Remixing

Traktor Pro 4 controls up to four decks in Track, Stem and Remix modes. Stem separation, built with iZotope RX technology, lets you isolate drums, bass, instruments and vocals, with a four-track waveform display so you can filter and process each part.

Flexible beatgrids follow tempo changes throughout a track, which the developer says keeps audio quality intact when you sync. This matters most when you move between genres or mix tracks with changing tempos. Ozone Maximizer, based on iZotope's Ozone mastering technology, is included to raise loudness while protecting against clipping.

Effects, Hardware and Workflow

The software includes more than 40 Native Instruments effects across four chainable Deck FX slots, plus Mixer FX for quick layering. Pattern Player adds drum patterns from classic drum machines and sounds associated with several producers.

Traktor supports plug-and-play use with CDJs and most club mixers, timecode vinyl control, Ableton Link and MIDI clock, and deep MIDI mapping for compatible hardware. Supported audio formats include MP3, WAV, AIFF, Audio CD, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis and non-DRM AAC.
