Shaping Musical Texture in a Modal Reverb
The Temper and Range controls set how much emphasis or de-emphasis is applied to selected notes and which octaves are tempered. Target lets you choose whether tempering happens at the reverb onset (Early), during the tail (Late), or across both (All).
Note Width sets how far each note spreads within the modal field. Lower values give a purer, more focused result, while higher values disperse the note energy for richer, chorused tones. The default of 50% balances focus and dispersal.
Position, Density and Offset add further modal control. Position shifts the balance between early and late reflections, Density removes modes for a more fragmented or lo-fi sound, and Offset moves the center frequencies of all modes by up to ±500Hz.
