Sound Character and Delay Design
X-Delay centers on four independent delay taps, each with its own level, ping pong and panning controls. Taps can be synced to the host tempo, and dropping synced taps into dotted or triplet modes builds swing and polyrhythmic patterns.
SSL saturation and modulation add grit or shimmer, which the developer ties to the 1980s sound. The DIFFUSION control moves the output from a small plate to a thicker reverb-style tail. High and low pass filters, mid/side width, de-essing and a mix control let you shape each repeat so the delays stay clean in the mix.
FREEZE and KILL functions are included for building risers and drops.
