Shaping Drum Sound With Gate, Transients and Enhancers
The gate is aimed at cleaning up mic bleed and unwanted background noise, which helps when separate drum mics pick up other parts of the kit. The transient shaper lets you manipulate attack and sustain, so kicks, snares and toms can be made to hit harder or ring longer.
The high-frequency enhancer adds brightness to the top end, and the low-frequency enhancer is intended to tighten and add weight to the low end. Together they cover the frequency ranges most often adjusted on drum tracks.
