Drum Voices and Sound Shaping

SR-88 provides five drum voices: Kick, Snare, Hi Hat 1, Hi Hat 2 and Cymbal. Each voice can be pitched, panned and mixed independently, so you can set the balance of a kit without leaving the plugin.

The output chain includes a low-pass filter with zero delay feedback, an overdrive stage, a compressor and a reverb. These tools let you move the drums from clean to saturated or from dry to spacious, depending on the track.

Sequencer and Workflow

The built-in sequencer lets you build patterns step by step. Patterns can be dragged and dropped into your DAW or host as MIDI, which makes it easy to move a groove from the plugin into your arrangement.

A preset system with a randomizer gives you a quick way to generate variations. Use the randomizer to find new starting points, then keep the parts you like and edit the rest.
