01Overview

B00GA is a plugin that turns short pulses, samples and noise bursts into rhythmic patterns and evolving tones. Its dual sequencer runs from very slow rates up to audio-rate speeds, so the same engine can produce tight grooves, off-kilter beats or sustained drones. Developed by AudioThing, it suits producers who want to work outside conventional drum programming, whether in a studio session or a live set. The plugin also includes its own effect chain for radiophonic and vintage-flavored processing.

Sequencing, Sample Banks and Noise

B00GA combines a dual sequencer with a crossfading sample player and a noise synthesizer. The sequencer runs from 0.1 Hz to 5 kHz, which covers everything from slow pulses to tones. The 28 pulse banks include factory sounds, and you can add your own samples. Crossfading between sounds creates new combinations, and step randomization changes the sound on each step, so repeated patterns do not sound identical.

The noise section lets you generate, filter and shape noise bursts. This is useful for percussion and crackling textures. Each preset holds 8 patterns, and the preset system includes a randomizer for quick exploration.

Effects for Radiophonic and Vintage Sound

The effect section includes a passive octave bandpass filter with 10 bands, modeled on a vintage passive filter and designed for radiophonic sound effects. A mix control blends the dry and filtered signal. The chain also has a spring reverb with a warm, vintage character, a phaser inspired by analog units, and a tape echo based on AudioThing's Space Echo emulation, Outer Space.

The effects can be reordered by drag and drop. The window is resizable, and brightness and contrast controls adjust the visual display.
