Sound and Character of the Felt-Pick Guitars
The developer describes the library as an unconventional take on the felt piano, with a guitar tone that is dark, nostalgic and intimately textured. Because the felt pick mutes the stroke itself, the sound is softer and blurrier than conventional palm muting.
The three guitars differ in voice. Butterscotch is a guitar with an added middle pickup that gives a scooped clean tone, which the felt darkens considerably. Flatwounds is a chambered guitar with a P90-style pickup and flatwound strings for a darker result. Singlecut is a classic model known for a bassy sound from the neck pickup.
