Panorama Guitars is a Kontakt Player guitar instrument from Sonora Cinematic, built around deep-sampled electric guitars, a baritone and an electric bass for atmospheric, post-rock and cinematic textures. It runs on the Aria engine, which offers modulation, effects and XY control.
Panorama Guitars draws on the guitar textures of post-rock and shoegaze, sounds that have shaped music for media over the last three decades. It covers clean and crunch guitar tones and suits projects ranging from pop and rock to lo-fi hip-hop. The library includes more than 5GB of sampled content, and the instrument can also load your own samples into the Aria engine to build custom sound palettes.
Sonora Cinematic deep-sampled five classic electric guitar models, a baritone guitar and an electric bass. Each instrument was played through a selection of guitar amps and pedals and captured with high-end microphones and preamplifiers.
The developer also collaborated with experimental ambient artist Elif Yalvac, whose work contributes avant-garde and ambient textures to the library. The collection totals 40 sound sources.
Panorama Guitars runs on the Aria engine, which provides modulation options and effects. Two slots let you layer or crossfade articulations, and an integrated XY pad can be assigned to control any parameter on either axis.
Two independent filters, two step sequencers for the filters and per-layer LFOs add rhythmic movement. Three effects slots, with an FX panel that changes with the selected effect, round out the signal chain. You can also record your own XY motions, store them as presets and adjust their playback speed.
