Sound Character and Sample Sources

The instrument is built from 16 sampled sound sources. Alongside the cello material, the library includes a T-style semi-hollow guitar, electric basses, and synth layers designed to augment the guitar sound. It also contains a set of playable ambient patches created from a large pedalboard used during the recording session.

The overall palette is described as dark and cinematic, suited to evocative scoring, creative music production and sound design. Sonora Cinematic says the sounds are meant to inspire new ideas quickly, including unconventional and deliberately unsettling textures.

Aria Engine Controls and Workflow

The instrument runs on the Aria Engine, which provides modulation, expressive effects and tools for manipulating both the included samples and your own imported samples. This makes it possible to reshape the built-in sounds beyond their default settings.

The 41 presets give you a starting point in each category, and you can adjust them from there. Because the library works inside Kontakt, it fits into existing Kontakt-based sessions.
