Dark Field Recordings and Sound-Design Content

The library gathers creature noises, environment field recordings, drones and SFX across 549 stereo samples. Soundiron recorded the material in decrepit industrial, military and institutional ruins, along with other dark locations, and the developer describes the ambiences as production-grade.

The package includes 40 ambience patches built from the source content, plus 20 custom sound-designed FX and ambient presets. Samples are 24-bit / 48 kHz uncompressed PCM WAV, and the install takes about 4.6 GB.

Convolution Impulses and Playable Controls

Sick 3 also includes a set of 335 stereo convolution impulse responses captured in spaces such as bunkers, prisons, graveyards, forests, warehouses and sewers. Recorded at varied distances and angles, they can add coloration and space to instruments, foley and sound design. The WAV impulses sit in the Samples folder and work with any convolution effect that supports WAV import.

For performance, the instrument offers an LFO with selectable shape, target, speed, intensity, tempo sync and fade-in, along with 12 filter types, a glide control, and an arpeggiator with velocity table, direction, timing, swing, randomization and duration. A key and scale lock keeps notes within chosen scales.
