01Overview

Revolv is built around impulse responses captured at real spaces across Sweden, from medieval ruins to cathedrals and forests. Klevgrand developed the collection with sound designer Oscar Björk, who recorded the locations during a project called Echoes of Our Time. Each space is organized on a set of location wheels, so you can move between rooms quickly. The impulse responses are hand-recorded and processed without AI, which gives each space a distinct acoustic character.

Location wheels and workflow

Revolv organizes its spaces into six location wheels, each grouping a set of locations from rare and quirky rooms to large halls. A loupe selector moves across the wheels to change both the location and its sound.

Each location has a detail view with background information about the site. From there you can adjust decay, predelay and width, choose between up to three microphone placements that use different microphone models, and set the recording distance.

A built-in EQ with two parametric filters offers low and high cut, low and high shelf, and bell options.

Sound design, film and game audio

Klevgrand positions Revolv for film, TV and video game sound design, where the developer says authentic spaces matter most. Because the impulse responses are real recordings rather than synthesized reflections, they suit projects that need a convincing sense of place.

The developer also notes that convolution reverbs are resource-heavy, and Revolv is designed to keep CPU use efficient while maintaining high-quality reverb.
