Kick Sound Design and Layer Structure
Each kick can combine up to three layers. Every layer can use a dedicated kick synthesizer model or a sample-based model loaded from WAV or AIFF files. The Model Kick offers harmonic waveform drawing, RAW distortion with an XY control, and classic or multi-stage pitch and amp envelopes. A noise module with white and pink noise sits alongside the oscillator.
The sample-based mode includes semitone, fine-tune and keyboard tracking, plus a granular mode with decay controls on the Granular Length and Granular Size parameters. The sample layer uses the same filter, distortion and effects tools as the model layer.
For processing, each layer has two effects slots with 25 distortion types and 17 general effects such as delay and reverb. Pre-EQ and Post-EQ sections, each with four bands and high-pass and low-pass filters, sit before and after the effects.
