Sound Design: Sub, Harmonics and Texture Layers
Pure Sub separates the sound into three stages. The sub layer holds the fundamental, the harmonics layer adds octave and harmonic content, and the texture layer adds noise and corrosion sources. Each stage can be shaped on its own, which makes it easier to build a bass that keeps a clean low end while the upper harmonics are processed.
The harmonics section offers Pressure and Reese Harmonics modes, and Sub Regen restores a clean fundamental after processing. Ring modulation, AM and distortion shaping are available in the texture engine, along with Noise Sample and Corrosion modes.
