Prophet~5: Analog-Modeling Synth Plugin by GForce Software

Prophet~5 covers the Rev1 and Rev2 SSM designs as well as the Rev3 Curtis filter and envelope characteristics. The Rev1 and Rev2 models use SSM circuitry, while Rev3 uses the Curtis filter. Switching between them lets you hear how the different revisions of the original hardware shape tone and response.

The developers say the plugin keeps the original hardware functionality, including its behaviors and performance character. The original 38 factory patches from 1978 are included alongside the newer preset library.

Each instance has two layers with Layer, Split and Alternate modes, with up to 10 voices per layer. Layers can be stacked, split across the keyboard or alternated while you play. Each layer has its own arpeggiator and chord mode.

The X-Modifiers section assigns dedicated envelopes and LFOs to almost every parameter, so sounds can move over time. Two selectable FX slots sit alongside dedicated Delay, Reverb and Pan Spread effects. The selectable effects are Chorus, Phaser, Filter, Distortion, Tremolo and Compressor. Full MPE and comprehensive MIDI CC mapping support expressive controllers.
