Filtering and Notch Control for Noise Cleanup
The high pass and low pass filters handle the two most common problems in clean-up work: low-frequency rumble and high-frequency hiss. Slopes are selectable at 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 and 36 dB/Oct, so you can choose a gentle cut or a steep one depending on how aggressive the correction needs to be.
The five notch filters each offer control over the amount of signal cut, the cut frequency and the width (Q). Because they can be linked harmonically, one frequency setting can position the whole set, which suits cyclical noise with evenly spaced harmonics such as 60 Hz hum and its multiples.
