Seven Recorded Mallet Instruments and Their Character

The collection features celesta, crotales, glockenspiel, marimba, tubular bells, vibraphone and xylophone. Each instrument has its own voice. The celesta has a sweet, magical sound, and the crotales have a bright, piercing tone that cuts through a busy mix. The marimba is woody and warm, and the tubular bells add grand, dramatic weight.

Mallet hardness, body resonance and tone colour can be shaped on each instrument. The vibraphone includes a built-in motor for a tremolo effect, with adjustable speed, depth and stereo width.

Mic Mixer, Focus Control and Built-In Effects

Every instrument uses the same four-channel mixer. Close gives a dry, direct sound, Decca provides a wide stereo orchestral setup, Mid offers balanced room mics, and Outrigger captures the ambient space. Each channel has volume, pan, stereo width and a low-cut filter, plus a Distance slider to time-align the microphones.

The FX page includes a 3-band EQ with low-cut and high-cut filters, and an algorithmic reverb with adjustable decay, pre-delay and mix. Space types such as Grand Symphony are available. The developer describes the library as nearly 3GB.
