Distortion, Bitcrushing and Filtering in One Effect Chain
The FX page holds four sections: Bitcrush, Distortion, Peak Filter and an LP/HP Filter. The bitcrusher offers bit depth and sample rate reduction, a dynamic control that focuses the effect on transients, and Lo and Hi frequency sliders to isolate the effect to a band. The distortion section includes Drive and Character controls, which the developer describes as moving between tape, tube and fuzz sounds, along with a feedback loop with adjustable frequency.
The high-pass and low-pass filters have frequency, slope and resonance controls and can be placed before or after the bitcrusher and distortion. The Peak Filter creates peaks or notches for spectral resonance or phaser-style sounds. Real-time visualisers show the wet signal next to the dry signal.
