Six Distortion Algorithms for Different Drive Characters
DriveMod offers six distortion types, each with its own personality. Digital is a bitcrusher-style distortion with precise control over quantising, ranging from subtle noise to gritty distortion. Tube aims to mimic high-gain guitar pre-amps, from warm overdrive to crisp distortion. Diode is a modern take on diode-clipper distortion with a tone range from bright to vintage fuzz.
Lin Fold folds the signal up and down periodically, giving an FM-like character for twisted sounds. Zero Sq interleaves random square waves into the original signal for heavy destruction. Rectify folds the negative side of the signal over the positive side, adding harmonics one octave above the source.
The Drive, Destroy and Tone controls shape the chosen algorithm, and auto-gain keeps the output level balanced as you push the sound.
