01Overview

Motion Filter Upgrade from The Sweeper is built for producers who already own Denise Audio The Sweeper. It offers two motion modes: Sweeper mode, which reacts to the incoming audio, and LFO mode, which runs on a configurable waveform. Four filter types (low-pass, high-pass, bandpass and notch) cover a wide range of tonal moves, and slopes run from gentle 12 dB/octave to steep 48 dB/octave. It works on static samples, loops, vocals and drums alike.

Best for

  • Filter sweeps on static samples
  • Rhythmic LFO filter motion

Sweeper and LFO Motion for Sound Design

Sweeper mode follows the dynamics of the incoming signal, so the filter opens and closes with the audio. You control the detection sensitivity, attack and release of the filter envelope, and a skew control that sets the midpoint of the filter action. An optional sidechain input lets another source drive the envelope instead.

LFO mode runs the filter on a waveform with adjustable speed, which can be set in Hz or synced to the host tempo. The Smooth control softens the edges of the wave, and the Release sync option keeps Sweeper envelopes locked to tempo.

Filter Controls and Resonance Behavior

Start and End set the frequency range of the motion, and Freq lock ties the two points to a fixed ratio so the sweep keeps its shape as you move them. Resonance can be static (Regular) or respond to the signal (Dynamic), and Filter flip reverses the direction of the motion.

Mix blends the dry signal with the filtered result, and Output sets the global level. The Detector Stereo Link option lets detection work from a summed or dual mono signal.
