01Overview

BLEASS Filter is an effects plugin built around a filter section modeled on vintage analogue designs. It is aimed at producers who want to shape synth sounds or add movement to drums, vocals and guitars. Its interface is built around a large filter graph and visual meters that show what the envelope follower and LFO are doing at a glance. Filter Modes and Envelope Follower

The filter offers low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and notch modes. An X2 button doubles the filter, which sharpens the resonant peak and steepens the cutoff slope, or widens the notch when using the notch mode.

The envelope follower responds to the input level and modulates the cutoff frequency. Attack and Release control how quickly it reacts to peaks and how long it takes to close. The Envelope control sets the amount and polarity, so the cutoff can rise or fall with the signal. The Sens and Gain controls work together to decide when a new envelope cycle is triggered, and a meter shows the follower's activity.

LFO Sweeps and Sync Options

The LFO can run freely or sync to the host DAW tempo. In free mode, its cycle length ranges from 16 seconds down to 50 milliseconds. In beat sync mode, it spans from four bars down to a 1/32 note, with an Offset control to shift its starting point against the beat.

Six waveforms are available: sine, triangle, saw-tooth up, saw-tooth down, square and sample-and-hold. The Stereo control offsets the left and right channels of the LFO, and Amount sets how strongly it moves the cutoff frequency. A two-part meter shows the LFO's effect in real time.
