Sound Generation and Playing Control
MODO BASS 2 uses modal synthesis instead of sample playback. Each string's response is modeled from the point where the player acts on it, through its interaction with the fretboard, body and pickups, and then through an amp and effects chain.
Play style options include finger, slap, pick and mute. Pick settings cover thickness and downstroke or alternating picking. The Play Style section also lets you adjust where on the strings the instrument is played.
MIDI control adds real-time automation of vibrato, playing style, mute and slide. Keyswitches can be remapped to any MIDI control change.
