Spectral morphing beyond simple cross-fading
A standard cross-fade only moves the level of two sources up and down. MMorph works on the content of both signals. Its spectral processing analyzes the main input and the side-chain input and morphs the features it finds between them.
The developer describes uses such as combining voices with a tonal instrument, creating robotic voice textures, and morphing between two full songs. Because the source materials are often very different, MMorph includes spectral compression and harmonic generation to make them more alike, which the developer says produces original results from unrelated inputs such as a sub-bass and a vocal.
