MRingModulatorMB is an effect plugin built on ring modulation, a process that multiplies the audio signal with an oscillator to create metallic, inharmonic and movement-rich textures. Sound Design and Oscillator Shaping

Each of the two oscillators can be morphed continuously between predefined shapes, custom waveforms drawn with the MeldaProduction Envelope System, a step sequencer, and several algorithmic post-processing methods. The two oscillators can also modulate each other, producing more complex waveforms than a single oscillator would.

Four global modulators can each act as an LFO, envelope follower, MIDI or audio triggered ADSR, or pitch detector, and they can modulate any parameter, including other modulators. Up-sampling from 1x to 16x is available to reduce aliasing.

Workflow, Interface and Presets

A simple default interface offers predefined modes and a few knobs for quick results, while an advanced mode exposes the full feature set. A full randomize button generates new settings, and holding Ctrl limits changes to small variations of the current settings.

Oscillators and modulators can sync to host tempo, parameters can be mapped to MIDI controllers with MIDI learn, and every parameter is automatable. Presets can be saved globally and shared through an online preset exchange if that feature is enabled.
