Limiter and multi-band dynamics in one processor
ML1 uses a flexible brick wall look-ahead design with multiple stages of limiting. McDSP says the Knee and Mode controls let the limiter respond from transparent to aggressive, which suits a range of material.
ML4 adds a four-band stage with gate, expander (upward or downward) and compressor in each band. Each band can be set separately or linked together, and the dynamic curves of all three processors are shown at once in every band.
The crossover page displays the real-time frequency response of the input, output or total effect over graphically adjustable crossover frequencies. An output ceiling control, large meters and text level readouts help with accurate output adjustment.
