01Overview

MFreqShifterMB works by shifting the frequency content of the signal rather than simply pitching it, which changes the relationship between a sound's harmonics. Producers can use it subtly to fatten a source or create a sense of stereo width, or push it far enough to build unusual, experimental sounds. Sound Shaping With a Dual Interface

The plugin has two graphical interfaces. The default view offers several predefined modes and only a few controls, so you can choose a character and adjust a few knobs without much setup. The advanced mode opens the full feature set for more detailed work.

For processing, MFreqShifterMB uses 1 to 6 independent bands built on three crossover algorithms: analog, linear-phase and hybrid. Each band has adjustable limits and input gains, and peak meters show activity for every band and the master. Adjustable up-sampling from 1x to 16x is available to reduce aliasing.

Modulation and Advanced Control

MFreqShifterMB includes four global modulators. Each one can work as an LFO, follower, MIDI or audio triggered ADSR envelope, pitch detector, or a combination, and can modulate any set of parameters, including other modulators. This makes it possible to keep the sound moving over time instead of staying static.

Oscillator shapes are continuously adjustable, built from a mix of predefined shapes, custom waveforms edited with the MeldaProduction Envelope System, a step sequencer, and several algorithmic post-processing methods. Oscillators and modulators can sync to host tempo, and any parameter can be mapped to a MIDI controller with MIDI learn.
