01Overview

MConvolutionMB applies impulse responses to your audio, so you can recreate halls, rooms, boxes, microphones and other plugins. Beyond loading IR files, it includes a reverb generator and a filter generator. Each band can combine two IR sources and blend between them, and four modulators can move parameters over time. The plugin supports mono, stereo and up to 8-channel surround, which suits film and game audio work as well as music production.

Impulse Response Processing and Generators

The integrated file manager browses the internal IR library or your own folders on disk. The plugin loads WAV, FLAC and MP3 files, recognizes multichannel files and combines several files for multichannel use, including true-stereo topologies. The length of impulse responses is limited only by your computer's processing power.

If you do not have an IR file, the plugin can generate its own. It offers several reverb types with adjustable parameters, plus a filter generator for technical operations.

Bands, Modulation and Workflow

The signal can be split into 1 to 6 independent bands using analog, linear-phase or hybrid crossover algorithms, with adjustable limits and input gains. Each band can hold two IR generators, and a slider sets the ratio between them. Attaching that slider to a modulator automates the blend.

Each of the four global modulators can work as an LFO, follower, MIDI or audio triggered ADSR envelope, pitch detector, or a combination. Oscillators and modulators can sync to host tempo, and any parameter can be mapped to a MIDI controller with MIDI learn. Presets can be saved globally and shared through the online preset exchange if that feature is enabled.
