Each Contour sets the overall initial effect for a different kind of vocal. Contours 1 and 2 include a Compress control that accentuates nuances in a performance, which can help a subtle take carry more emotion. Contour 3 adds an Air control aimed at clarity with uptempo vocals.

Each Contour has its own Bass and Treble curves, so the tonal shaping changes along with the space. The delay effect also varies subtly between the three Contours, so switching between them changes the character of the repeats as well as the room.

Delay and reverb interact in the processing to create animated textures, which suits vocals that need movement rather than a static space. The plugin includes 16 presets that cover multiple Contour applications, giving a starting point before you adjust the controls.

It works best when you pick the Contour that matches the tempo and arrangement, then use Compress and Air to fine-tune how the vocal sits in the mix.
