Manny Marroquin Delay: Multi-Effect Delay Plugin by Waves

The plugin is aimed at vocals and lead lines. Waves describes the rich sound as a way to fill out sparse lead parts, and the delay feeds four parallel effects to add depth and width.

The reverb in the chain has variable lowpass and highpass filters, so you can shape its tone instead of leaving it fixed. The distortion and phaser add grit or movement when you want the delay to stand out in the mix.

The doubler can be tuned within a range of plus or minus one semitone. Waves positions this for thicker delays with a slight detuned doubling.

Left and right delay times and feedback are controlled independently, which allows stereo delay patterns with different timing on each side. You can sync to 19 delay time values or set a free time from 0 to 2000 milliseconds.

The chain includes reverb, phaser, distortion and the tunable doubler, so most of the processing you would otherwise build from separate plugins is available in one instance.

The plugin suits producers and engineers who want layered delay textures on vocals, leads and other sparse parts. Because it bundles several effects, it can also simplify a session that would otherwise use multiple insert slots.

It runs on Windows and macOS. Waves lists VST2, AU and AAX formats, and the system requirements call for macOS Monterey 12 through Sequoia 15 for Mac, and Windows 10 or later for PC.
