Sound Character and Saturation Modes

Kiive Audio says the EQ combines the best features of each hardware revision, with circuits modeled for that purpose. Three saturation modes were added by Kiive Audio to color the signal and add warmth.

The developer describes the curves as designed for the master bus, so the EQ is intended to work across the whole mix as well as on individual tracks. Solo band monitoring lets you hear exactly what each band adds or removes before you commit to a move.

Controls and Workflow on the Mix Bus

Each of the four variable bands can be monitored in solo, which makes it easier to find problem frequencies and adjust them precisely. High and low filters handle the ends of the spectrum.

Saturation modes can be switched instantly, and the 2nd and 3rd order harmonics can be adjusted separately. This lets you change the character of the coloration without altering the EQ curve itself.
