Sound Character and Waveform Sets

The core of GAK150 is its three waveform sets: normal, fatter and slowed. The normal set keeps the raw timbre of the Gakken kit. The fatter set adds more detune for a thicker, wider tone. The slowed set is made by slowing down a few of the samples, which changes the character of the sound in a different direction.

Because the sounds come from a rough hardware source, they lean toward gritty and aggressive textures rather than clean, polished tones. The developer describes the result as an aggressive but full analog sound.

Modulation, Filter and Reverb Controls

Each instrument includes an LFO and an envelope with multiple destinations, so you can move pitch, filter and other parameters over time. The built-in effects are a 12dB/oct low-pass filter and a reverb.
