Sound Sources and Instrument Types

Wood is made from 278 stereo samples recorded at 44.1 kHz and 24-bit. The library's source material includes wood-block, wooden bowl, castanets, wooden boards, claves and sticks, raw drum, and various hits and effects.

The samples are processed into 17 Kontakt instruments. These range from tuned and untuned percussion to drum kits, hits and noises, and sound textures and effects. Four Kontakt multis group these instruments together for layered or combined use.

Playability and Built-In Effects

Instruments use up to three round robin and up to three velocity layers, so repeated hits do not sound identical and playing dynamics change the timbre of each sample.

Four standard effects are available from the custom performance view: Saturation, Rotator, Delay and Reverb. These let you shape the sound directly within the instrument without loading a separate effects chain.
