Sound, Modulation and Zero-Crossing Flanging
At its core, Flanger BL-20 modulates a delayed copy of the signal. Its zero-crossing mode applies a small delay to the dry signal so the modulated copy passes over the original starting point. The result is a deep flange with pronounced blips in the sound, a effect often associated with 1980s guitar tones.
You can choose between Auto (LFO), Env and Manual modulation, or combine them. The Env source can follow the internal signal or an external envelope input, which lets one track drive the flanger on another. The LFO offers a triangle default plus sine, square, sawtooth and reverse sawtooth shapes, and it can sync to tempo.
