FabFilter Timeless 3: Tape Delay Plugin for Modulated Delay Effects Free Download

Timeless 3 can behave as an analog tape delay or use a smooth time-stretching behavior when the delay time changes. Optional Drive, Lo-Fi, Diffuse, Dynamics and Pitch effects color the feedback path, so the repeats can stay clean or move into more degraded territory.

The filters can be set to the original vintage LP, HP and BP types or to Bell, Shelving and Notch EQ types. Up to six filters can be used. FabFilter says it improved the sound quality of the feedback, the filters and the internal saturation compared with earlier Timeless versions. Feedback and cross-feedback are available, along with a modulatable freeze option.

The plugin supports up to 16 delay taps for building rhythmic patterns, and each tap can be controlled and modulated on its own. Modulation is set up by dragging and dropping connections, with a 50-slot modulation matrix and live visualization of targets and sources.

Modulation sources include 16-step XLFOs, XY controllers, envelope generators, envelope followers and MIDI sources. Other workflow tools include mid/side processing, ping-pong modes, Smart Parameter Interpolation, interactive MIDI Learn, undo, redo and A/B switching, and support for common Pro Tools hardware control surfaces. Per-component presets are available for modulation sources and tap patterns.
