FabFilter Pro-MB: Multiband Compressor and Expander Plugin Free Download

Pro-MB offers up to six processing bands that can be placed freely across the spectrum. Each band can be shaped independently, so you can work on a specific range without splitting the rest of the mix. If you prefer a traditional approach, bands can be snapped together to form a crossover system, and the steepness of each crossover slope can be adjusted between 6 dB/oct and 48 dB/oct.

Each band offers control over threshold, range, attack, release, output gain, ratio and a variable knee. Lookahead goes up to 20 ms, and stereo linking is adjustable per band. Bands can process mid or side signals only and can be triggered from an external side chain or from a separate frequency range.

Dynamic Phase mode is designed to avoid latency, static phase changes and pre-ringing, with phase changes occurring only when the gain changes. Linear Phase mode eliminates audible artifacts when crossover frequencies are changed quickly, and Minimum Phase mode is included for a traditional approach. Oversampling of up to four times linear-phase is available.

A global dry/wet mix from 0% to 200% lets you scale the overall effect, and a real-time frequency analyzer with pre- and post-processing views and a freeze function helps you see what is happening in each band.
