Duck 2: Envelope Shaper Plugin for Sidechain Ducking by Devious Machines Free Download

The core of Duck 2 is a graphical multi-segment envelope with a choice of curve shapes. You can lock the envelope to the beat like an LFO, or trigger it from MIDI, a sidechain input or the audio input.

The Multiband section splits the signal into up to three bands, each with its own envelope and linear phase filtering. This lets you duck or shape only the frequencies that clash, rather than the full mix.

The envelope editor includes undo and redo, copy and paste, paintbrush tools, randomise, envelope presets and a flexible grid with dynamic swing.

Duck 2 is aimed at producers who need to control volume in time with a mix, whether for clean kick and bass relationships or for rhythmic effects. Rhythmic gating can bring pads, guitars and synths to life, and an unsynced LFO works as a flexible tremolo.

Triggered from MIDI, the envelope can act like a synth's ADSR with velocity sensitivity. The factory library includes over 200 presets covering sidechaining, gating, rhythmic patterns, tremolo, envelope shaping and creative effects.

Groups let you synchronize envelope shapes across up to four instances of Duck, and Envelope from Audio converts an imported file or an audio or sidechain input into an envelope shape.
