01Overview

Bloom Vocal Choir Upgrade is built for producers who already use Bloom Vocal Choir Lite and want a larger library. It adds over 150 presets and more than 50 new vocal choir samples, sampled across registers from deep baritones to high sopranos. The instrument maps 14 BPM-synced samples across two octaves, and a built-in sequencer lets you stack voices into interweaving harmonies. Samples can be kept in key and in time with your project, and you can import your own audio.

Vocal Choir Sounds and Sample Banks

Bloom Vocal Choir Upgrade organizes its material into eight banks. Presets are grouped into categories such as Basic, Drones, Experimental, Full Ensemble, High, Low, Melodic and Rhythmic. Basic presets use a single section of the choir, while Full Ensemble presets combine soprano, alto, tenor and bass.

The Drones and Melodic categories cover sustained notes and scale-pitched samples across two octaves. The Rhythmic category focuses on percussive and glitchy vocal chops, and the Experimental category offers abstract, sound design-oriented patches.

Samples are triggered from the keyboard and can be dragged onto any of the 14 white notes, so you can build your own layout from the bank material.

Sequencer, Modifiers and Effects

The sequencer lets you trigger and draw sample sequences and modulations, which suits beat programming and rhythmic vocal patterns. Five factory modifiers (Half-time, Double-Time, Reverse, Octave Down and Octave Up) change playback, and five custom modifiers can be used for triggering sequences.

Four macros (Speaker, Dust, Phaser and Ascend) control a chain of effects. The main FX parameters are Doubler, Delay, Reverb, Lo-Cut and Hi-Cut. Reverb offers Hall, Plate and Spring algorithms from the Lifeline Series, and Doubler adjusts the stereo spread of the choir.
