01Overview

Bloom Mura Masa is a virtual instrument developed by Excite Audio in collaboration with producer Mura Masa. Its sound library draws on his session archives and focuses on UK garage swing, rave-style energy and hardcore textures. The instrument organizes its samples into eight banks of percussion and musical material, playable across 14 sample keys and synced to your host tempo. Its 250 presets include more than 100 made by Mura Masa himself.

Sound Sources and Sample Banks

The library holds 112 percussion samples across eight banks, with gritty bass hits, warped drum material, playful synth stabs and rhythmically unpredictable loops. Excite Audio says the material includes released and previously unheard sounds from Mura Masa's personal sessions.

All bundled samples are royalty-free. You can also import up to 112 of your own samples and swap them at any time, which lets you keep the instrument's sequencing and effects while using your own sources.

Workflow, Sequencing and Effects

The main page lets you trigger single sounds from the white keys and launch phrases from the black keys. Four macros, named Terminal, Peek, Angle and Side, shape the sound in real time.

The edit page offers sample controls such as playback direction, modes and speed, plus a sequencer with custom modifiers. Five main effect parameters cover Speaker, Reverb, Mod, Lo-Cut and Hi-Cut, so you can adjust tone and space without leaving the instrument.
