01Overview

Bass Flow focuses on the low end of the mix. Its four processing elements can be routed in any order, so you can shape tone before compression or compress before tone shaping. The Bass Character EQ follows the pitch of each note, which lets you adjust body and clarity relative to the note being played. Module controls let you bypass, solo or reset each stage, and router listen points help you audition the signal at any point in the chain.

Bass Character and Spectral Compression

The Bass Character is an EQ that tracks the pitch of the note being played. It has two bands, labelled B for Body and C for Clarity, so you can boost or cut harmonics within each note and change the character of the bass sound.

The Spectral Bass Compressor works across six frequency bands concentrated in the lower spectrum where bass notes mainly sit. Each band has Depth and Sensitivity controls, and a graph shows gain reduction across the spectrum. A Knee control sets how abruptly compression starts, and an external key input lets you trigger the compressor from a sidechain signal.

Routing, Equalizer and Chorus

Master controls include input polarity, input and output trim, and routing order. Drag routing items to change the signal flow, and use the ear buttons to listen from a specific point in the chain. The Solo/Listen Clear button resets any active listen point or solo.

The Equalizer has five bands plus two additional filter bands, with adjustable frequency, gain, shape and Q. The Chorus adds two pitch-shifted voices, one above and one below the input, with Detune, Delay and Mix controls.
