01Overview

Vocal Flow is a signal processing suite built for mixing vocals. Harrison Consoles groups seven processing elements in one plugin, with input and output controls on the master section. Each module can be reset, soloed, bypassed, or given its own output gain trim, so you can shape a vocal chain without juggling separate plugins. The suite is available in VST3, VST2, AU and AAX formats for Windows, macOS and Linux.

Vocal Character EQ and Harrison 32C Channel EQ

Vocal Character is a two-band vocal EQ that follows the pitch of sung notes and shifts its curve across the spectrum. The Body band controls the lower range and the Clarity band controls the high range, each with frequency, gain, shape and Q controls. Note that it tracks chromatic pitch, so it does not work on spoken voice and should be disabled for speech.

The 32C Channel EQ is modelled after the Harrison 32C channel EQ. It offers four bands with variable frequency and gain, plus high-pass and low-pass filters with a 12 dB/octave slope. Gain on each band ranges from -12 dB to +12 dB.

De-Esser and Leveler Dynamics

The De-Esser is based on Harrison's De-Esser algorithm and is intended for attenuating harsh sibilance in vocals and speech. Two draggable bands, Ess and Hi, set bandwidth and depth. The Ess band covers 1 kHz to 8 kHz and the Hi band covers 2 kHz to 12 kHz, with a maximum depth of -12 dB.

The Leveler is a compressor derived from the Harrison Mixbus channel strip. It provides Threshold and Attack controls, an input meter, a gain reduction meter and an output trim for make-up gain. Attack ranges from 4 ms to 100 ms.
